Guest, Property & Booking Policy

Your stay at with us at LoCul Hostels is subject to the following Terms and Conditions:

*** CANCELLATION POLICY ***
We have a free cancellation policy of 48 hours prior to check-in. Kindly make note that any cancellation after 48 hours will entail payment of two nights stay. 

Group/Bulk Bookings do not qualify for this refund policy.  Cancellation policy for Group Bookings (4 or more people) needs to be done at least 30 days in advance, unless otherwise communicated for 100% refund – in case the booking is cancelled between 30-15 days before the date of arrival, 50% of the booking value can be refunded. In
case the booking is cancelled within 15 days from the date of arrival, no refund will be issued.

*** ALCOHOL / SMOKING / SUBSTANCE POLICY ***
Smoking and Alcohol is not allowed at the premises.  Any guest found consuming alcohol / smoking on premises will be asked to vacate without any notice and refund. Any consumption of narcotics and illegal substances or devices will be checked out without any notice or refund and reported to the police.

*** ID AND TRAVEL TICKET ***
All guests (including Indian citizens) are required to produce their passports (digital copy/hard copy) at check-in along with their recent travel tickets to Bangalore

*** AGE POLICY ***
The property has an age policy of allowing guests only between ages of 18 and 40. Anyone above 40 or below 18. Kindly reach out to us for any clarifications.

*** GROUP BOOKING POLICY***
 The property does not allow groups of larger than 4 people and this is strictly enforced at check-in. We request group
booking guests to contact us directly for confirmation on their bookings.

*** COVID/ISOLATION POLICY ***
LOCUL HOSTELS IS NOT AN ISOLATION FACILITY – ANY RESERVATION DONE FOR THE PURPOSE OF ISOLATION WILL NOT BE HONOURED, and refund will not be issued.  Guest will be asked to vacate the property, and find a more suitable location to isolate. 

*** ROOM ACCESS KEY CARD ***
Please leave a VALID Govt. issued ID PROOF/Cash deposit of Rs 500 on check-in with the reception as a refundable security deposit for your key card. 

*** VISITOR POLICY ***
For security reasons, we allow visitors only in the common area (between 10:00 am – 5:30 pm)

*** EQUAL SPACE ***
All of our properties and spaces are qual and safe spaces for all guests and staff.  Unruly/derogatory/disrespectful
behaviour will not be tolerated and unruly guests will be asked to leave the premises immediately without any refund. 
Failure to comply, will result in the relevant Authorities being called. 

*** GST ***
Taxes are NOT Included, unless otherwise explicitly mentioned. Taxes are charged as per the rates below. 12% for rooms less than Rs 7,500 per room per day.

*** ADVANCE PAYMENT ***
Tax and room charges will be collected at the time of check-in. In order to minimize contact at the time check in, we may reach out to you before your reservation, and request you to fill out a form over Whatsapp and also collect your payment by sharing a payment link with you.  

*** REFUND POLICY ***
Refunds are subject to management approval, provided the reservation was cancelled under the free cancellation terms at the time of booking.  In the case of any refund to be issued, the management will process the refund in 7 working days and communicate the same via email/whatsapp message.

*** LONG TERM STAY ***
The maximum a booking can be accommodated is 7 nights.  Any extension after the first 7 nights can be done based on
management decision and subject to availability for another 7 days. Extensions beyond 14 nights are subject to availability and Management discretion. Should you need to make a longer booking, we request you contact the reception team immediately and let them know.  

*** EARLY CHECK-IN ***
Early check in fee (subject to availability) per person

·       Before 5 am – full night charge 
·       Between 5am – 7 am – 499
·       Between 7 am and 9 am – 399
·       Between 9 am and 11 am – 299

*** LATE CHECK OUT ***
Late check out fee (subject to availability) per person

·       Between 11 am – 1:30 pm – 299 
·       1:30pm – 3pm – 399
·      3pm – 5:30pm – 499 

***FAILURE TO CHECK OUT***
The management reserves the right to remove belongings of the guest (if the aforementioned has not checked out in the time frame mentioned). This is in the case if we have a check in of another guest in the same bed/room. A charge will be levied for the occupation of the room/bed after the check-out date. The responsibility of check-out is that of the guest alone.

*** EXTRA AMENITIES ***
At the reception, you can purchase a lock for your room lockers at Rs 50. Toiletries available at the reception for an added charge. Towels are available for rent.

*** GREEN HOURS ***
Please note, we follow green hours on the property. The ACs inside the dorms are functional only on from 5.00pm to 10.30am the following day. This is our bit to try and reduce the GHG emissions we produce. 

*** ROOM ACCESS KEY CARD***

Please note incase of loss of the key card or property ID band a damage fee of Rs 500 will be charged. 

*** ALOCHOL / SMOKING / SUBSTANCE POLICY ***
Smoking and Alcohol is not allowed at the premises.  Any guest found consuming alcohol / smoking on premises will be asked to vacate without any notice and refund. Any consumption of narcotics and illegal substances or devices will be checked out without any notice or refund and reported to the police. A damage fee will be charged incase of non compliance of the same amounting to the damages.  Any guest found creating trouble for other guests/staff, will be liable to pay for any damages including cleaning fees.

***MANAGEMENT POLICIES***
The management/property is not responsible for your personal belongings. Kindly look after it during your stay by using the lockers provided. The management will not be responsible for any negligence in leaving your belongings outside.
In case of any issues/breaking of property rules, unruly behaviour, or misbehaviour with staff or other guests the management reserves the right to ask the guest to leave without refund.

Locul Hostels will never contact you regarding sharing your credit card details/pin numbers.

We may reach out to you to update your card details on the booking platform from which you have made the booking, but that must be done by you only on the booking platform. We will never seek any of that sensitive information directly.
